Development Application (DA) checklist

The following checklist will assist you to prepare and lodge a Development Application (DA)

for commercial and industrial development on the NSW Planning Portal (the Portal).

DA Checklist

Outlines the requirements to lodge a DA and is to be uploaded concurrently with the Development Application

Council Fees Paid

Council will only be able to assess your DA once the nominal application fee is paid.

Cost Summary Report

A genuine estimate cost of the development, inclusive of consultant fees

Plan of Management

Operational details: trading hours, staff, security, waste, traffic control and more

Site Details

These are not attachments, but fields to be completed while lodging on the NSW Planning Portal

Applicant Details

Owner Consent

Owner/s of premises or property name must match what is recorded on council's rates system

Site Plan/Survey

(Existing + Proposed are required if application includes external usage or proposed development)

Waste Management Plan

Declaration of plans to dispose of waste during development and in future.

Fire Safety Statement

(This is the responsibility of the owner of the premises)

Statement of Environmental Effects

Justification of LEP/DCP requirements, description and mitigation of potential impacts of development

Additional Reports

Depending on site, reports referencing heritage, flood, bushfire, acoustic treatment, social impact etc
